A reproduction of Jim Dine's Eleven Part Self-Portrait (Red Pony), originally created in 1965.
The work depicts a bathrobe divided into eleven numbered sections, transforming an ordinary article of clothing into a fragmented self-portrait. Dine repeatedly used personal and familiar objects as stand-ins for the self, making the bathrobe an intimate kind of portrait without showing the body itself.
The original work was produced as a lithograph and published by Universal Limited Art Editions.
