HISTORIA No.16 — November 1956 | The Art of Passing Time | Vintage Calendar Advertisement | Chloride Batteries

THE ART OF PASSING TIME

A November 1956 calendar leaf, preserved for nearly seven decades.

Originally produced as commercial calendar art for Chloride Batteries, this printed sheet was made to mark a single month in an ordinary year : November 1956.

It has already happened.
The dates printed on this page cannot be used again.
Yet the page remains.
The flowers remain.
The typography remains.
The paper remains.
The marks left by seven decades remain with them.
What was once an instrument for measuring time has become an object through which time can be seen.
