A striking vintage printed reproduction of one of Picasso's most celebrated colour linocuts.
The composition depicts a dramatically
illuminated still life beneath a hanging lamp, with fruit & a glass arranged against a deep, almost theatrical background. Picasso reduces the objects into bold graphic shapes, using vivid yellow, red, green & black to create an image that feels simultaneously like a still life & an abstract composition.
The original work, Nature morte sous la lampe (Still Life Under the Lamp), was created by Pablo Picasso in 1962. It was produced as a colour linocut with printer Hidalgo Arnéra & published by Galerie Louise Leiris in Paris.
