AKSARA No.05 — Libra | Vintage Typography Specimen | Graphic Design Ephemera (c.1940s)

An original vintage type specimen leaflet presenting Libra, an expressive uncial typeface designed by Dutch typographer S. H. de Roos for the Amsterdam Typefoundry.

Rather than simply displaying an alphabet, this specimen demonstrates Libra as a complete typographic system. From delicate lowercase forms to heavier display weights, numerals & extended examples of text.

The leaflet includes typographic compositions referencing literature, including The Living Plato, alongside progressively heavier examples of the Libra letterforms. The reverse presents the complete alphabet & identifies the Typefoundry Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
